How to Easily Fix Untied Fringes on Turkish Towels
You washed and dried your new Turkish Towel but, you spotted untied fringes. It looks like a major problem.
BUT DON'T WORRY YET.
History of Turkish towels date way before the invention of washing machines and heat dryers. Using a gentle cycle in washing machine and tumble drying in low heat would help preserve the cotton and the fringes, but fringes can come undone/untied.
Remember, the fringes on Turkish towels are traditionally handcrafted and can easily be fixed by hand with the right technique. The following 4 steps will help you out.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE 4 STEPS
- Separate the threads into two equal sections.
- Twist each section in a counter-clockwise direction.
- Twist both sections together in a clockwise direction.
- Knot tightly at the end.

You're done. Repeat as many as necessary for the each untied fringe.
As you use you Turkish Towel, fringes may come loose or untied in time. To prevent knots from becoming untied, please check fringes before washing for loose knots and tighten knots as necessary.
